The Summer Isles is a popular expedition location for Caithness Diving Club. The club usually has 1 or 2 visits here every year and stays for 2 or 3 days.

The club used to base the expedition at Achiltibuie but more recently has been using the facilites at Ardmair Point campsite, Ullapool.

The club RIB is launched either from Ullapool or the slipway at Ardmair Point Campsite and gives good access to the multitude of scenic and wreck dives.

The sheer cliffs of Isle Martin continue below sea level and result in superb wall diving at depths well beyond 50m. Depending on the time of day, if the cliffs are in the shadow, these wall dives can almost become night dives.
